katherine art exhibition AND WORKSHOP In March, the Godinymayin Yijard Rivers Arts and Culture Centre hosted a retrospective of artworks from Wild North Comics creators in Katherine. The exhibition also included a workshop with local young artists which resulted in the first collection of BIG RIVER COMICS!

CITY OF DARWIN LIGHTBOX EXHIBITION In March, Wild North Comics launched an installation across Dar win City alongside the fifth issue of Wild North Comics anthology. Artworks were installed in Smith St Mall, Dragonfly Carpark in Darwin CBD and the Nightcliff Pool for six months with video in terviews of artists available online. The exhibition featured art by Jonathon Saunders, Dan Hartney, Mat Selwyn, Rosharn Deslan des, Ariel Racines, Timothy Parish, Theofilos Rigas, Todd Williams , Emmanuelle Aliotti and Anneke Putri. Proudly supported by The City of Darwin.

50 YEARS OF FIRST NATIONS SUPERHEROS IN AUSTRALIAN ART.
Blak Power is an art anthology documenting the first retrospective of First Nations superheroes held in August 2023.
The catalogue features an essay on the history of Indigenous representation in comics by Jonathon Saunders (creator of Zero-Point) and Aboriginal Timeline in Comic Books and Capes by Luke Pearson (IndigenousX).
Featuring art by Tony Albert, Karla Dickens, Layne Dhu-Dickie, Dennis Golding, Molly Hunt, Emily Johnson, Dylan Mooney, Donovan Mota, Ray Mudjandi, Jonathon Saunders, Kaylene Whiskey and work by Basically Black, Redback Graphic Iwantja Young Women’s Film Project & Neomad. Produced in partnership with the Northern Centre for Contemporary Art.
